Mission
History
The Energy Research Centre of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (CIE), was founded in 1996 and came into existence in the early 70's, after starting some activities in the Solar Energy Laboratory of the Research Materials Institute. Its current installations in the city of Temixco, Mor., México, were inaugurated in 1985.

The three departments at the Center are focused in the areas of Energy Systems, Solar Materials and Thermosciences.
